Hello once again,

The sticky on schools in Kuwait is tremendously helpful, thank you!

Does anyone have any feedback as to what schools they feel are best and why?

Also, are waiting lists common? How far in advance should one reserve a spot?

Hi,

I've only been here for two years so I'm sure people who have been here longer would be better able to advise you on which schools are best but I personally find that the following schools are the most well-reputed and well-accredited in Kuwait (in terms of the curriculum, programs they offer, the admin, infrastructure and facilities of the school, extra-curricular activities they offer, etc.): Al Bayan Bilingual School (BBS), American School of Kuwait (ASK), American International School (AIS) which offers an IB primary years program and IB middle years program, British School of Kuwait, Gulf English School, Universal American School.

I'm sure there are other good schools but these are the only ones that I hear have a solid reputation.

Waiting lists are common yes; I think people usually reserve spots in March/April as that's when the schools start admitting students for the following school year.
