Retiring in Valencia

Hello Everyone,

After looking around Spain, my partner and I have decided to retire to Valencia.

Can any other expats tell us about their experiences there, what they like/don't like

and pitfalls to avoid.

We would appreciate hearing from you.

Richard

@gallowayrwMake sure you can retire here first, how much have you done for the visa/ residence , look at cost of medical assurance, for a start and what you expect to spend a month.

Thanks Compel

We are in the early phases of applying for the non-lucrative visa.

What companies would you recommend for health insurance?

Did you use a relocation service?

Richard

thanks

i found that my age - 76 was an issue with the Health Insurance

My partner and myself are looking into the possibility of retiring in Valencia or Sitges in the next 3 years or so .  We will be 60 and 63 at the time.  So I'm defintely interested to see how your process goes.  Following this thread.

@gallowayrw Valencia is a beautiful city with amazing architecture, I am sure you will really enjoy your stay there.
