180 day wonders (tourist stamp)

Post new topic

So with the on going drama over visas and the common advice to just stay 180 days on a tourist stamp, I have a question. Is there any problems getting the tourist stamp extensions approved? I have not read this anywhere and am just wondering. I mean there is no guarantee that they must do so and with the attitude that is being expressed over the visas it would not surprise me.

I doubt you will have any problem extending a tourist stamp.  In the government's mind, tourists don't create gentrification problems if you are only in the country 180 days.

@Mr. Barley I don't really anticipate it either and it would have probably bubbled up in the forum if it was an issue. However; it is not a given. I have requested 90 days before when entering and given 30... so had to make an unnecessary request for an extension. I make it a habit to ALWAYS request 90 days upon entry.
