How long does it take to get NLV at Spanish Consulate in Toronto?

We mailed our application to the consulate last week and haven't heard anything so far. According to the consulate's website, it can take up to 3 months. Hopefully it won't actually take that long because living without our passports for 3 months will be a huge hassle.

Also, since the consulate in Toronto only accepts applications by mail, does that mean there is no way to track the application status? Normally you need a reference number on the receipt, which we do not have.

Appreciate it if anyone can share their experience getting the NLV in Toronto!

I think you will have a better chance of finding the answer by talking to people that are in Toronto, so I have moved your thread to the Toronto Forum.

Hello jjaicmkmy,

Like Cheryl has mentioned since the Spanish consulate is located in Toronto, you will have greater chances of interacting with members on the Toronto forum who had to go through a similar process with the Spanish consulate in Toronto1f609.svg

Hello,

Three months is the maximum delay according to current regulations.

If you do not receive an answer, that means that your visa application has been rejected.

Real delay might be shorter depending on current consulate activity.
