Transferring MUR to EUR

Hello to all,

I am looking for the cheapest way to transfer rupees (MUR) from an MCB account (or cash) to a French Société Générale account (EUR).

My test made from the MCB online site (MCB Internet Banking) makes me afraid to make bigger transfers: for 10 EUR received on the French account, I was charged 492.80 MUR for the MUR to EUR conversion but also 735.60 MUR in fees (!). That's about 15 EUR in fees for 10 EUR received.

Which solution do you use? Are the rates fixed? Are they variable?

Thank you in advance,

Could you also post your question in English?

I transfer often MUR/EUR and EUR/MUR

Hi

Maybe you can try with PAYPAL...

Hello,

Did you try to use a money transfer app?

Example: wise, transfergo

I use TransferGo. 1 euro of charge regardless of the amount to transfer.

Best regards,

Sameer.

Both Wise and TransferGo don't have MUR available.

Hello all,

I wish to inform you that the original post of the OP was posted in French. But since he had already garnered so many responses in English itself, I thought it was best to translate the original post to English.

Besides, I have noticed that the OP also reverted back to English.

@Tefneth Which bank or service are you using to transfer MUR to EUR ? Which fees are you charged for ?

I have a MCB Euro account and I can transfer between my EUR and MUR account

@Tefneth Does this change anything about taxes and the exchange rate applied when making a bank transfer, paying online or directly in Europe ?

Hi,

The best way will depend on the amount of money that you have to transfer.

PM me for more information.
