Canada to France - School??

Hello! We are a family of three moving to Paris for only one year with our 7 year old Daughter. I'm finding it daunting looking for a school for her. We will be there this spring and leave by the end of next summer. I would like to put her in the Public System if possible but she doesn't speak French at all. I feel like this is cruel for her especially since we will only be there for a year and then she'll be back to her English school in Canada! I speak a little bit - enough to likely speak to her teachers. I've looked into a few private schools but the tuition seems so high. Would she struggle in a public school? Note - we will likely live in the St-Denis area just north of the city.
