Good morning, Former part-time teacher of French and literature at the middle school in Paris, 33 years old, I currently live in Cairo, where I have started research in philosophy and history of religions, I offer private lessons in French, literature and philosophy - all levels, and adapted to the levels, needs and varied objectives of my different students. To speak generally, and apart from adapting to the level and specificity of each individual, I emphasize with my middle school students both the study of French grammar, which is essential for good expression and ultimately for well-formed thought (what is well conceived is clearly stated, isn't it?); but also a thorough understanding of literary texts, which fosters an appetite and a taste for reading. It is a matter of the students experiencing the text, feeling the full range of emotions it provides, grasping its full depth, even understanding its humor... As for my high school students, I focus heavily on the method of commentary and dissertation, repeating the training, and the corrections (because repetition is indeed the art of pedagogy). But, it is important for me not to limit myself to technical and mechanical learning with my students, I also aim to provide them with a true humanist culture, where literature, philosophy and science are closely intertwined, so that they deeply understand the texts they study.
