I wanted to give you an update regarding the medication you asked me about.

I spoke with a good friend of mine who owns a chain of pharmacies here in Uruguay, and I specifically asked him about this medication.

He confirmed that he is familiar with it, but unfortunately, no pharmaceutical company is currently importing it directly into Uruguay.

He explained that, because the medication is relatively inexpensive in its country of origin, there is very little financial incentive for a pharmaceutical company to handle its importation.

He also mentioned that arranging a special import for an individual patient can be quite complicated and would likely involve significant additional charges, making the final cost considerably higher.

I understand this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, and I'm sorry I couldn't bring you better news.

One thing he mentioned is that, in situations like this, people sometimes rely on relatives or friends traveling from abroad to bring back enough medication to last for an extended period. Of course, I understand this is not the most practical or ideal solution, and any such arrangement would need to comply with the applicable regulations.
