Nigerian medical specialist would like to retire in Peru

I would be needing a Rentista visa but first I want to visit the country and have feel of what the country looks like.

It's a great idea to visit the country before deciding whether or not you would like to move there.

Bear in mind that as Nigerian, you will need a tourist visa to visit Peru. For this reason, it's best to get in touch with the Peruvian embassy located in Abuja, Nigeria.

@Yoginee Hello! The last time I checked, there's no Peruvian embassy in Nigeria, the closest Peruvian embassy is in Ghana, which is another country. So if as a Nigerian you wish to get to Peru, the best bet is to get a tourist visa in Ghana.

@marcelnkpozi You're welcome. Everything about the Peruvian embassy in Ghana is by appointments. So you need to first get an appointment. You can get more information on Google.

You can start by writing them on both emails. I can't remember which works exactly hence the need to write to both emails. Send an email of inquiry. They'd tell you what you need to do and documents you may likely need.

Remember, everything you need to do at the embassy is based on appointment. Do let me know if you need more information.

Correct, first get a tourist visa abroad and visit. You will get an idea about living here.

Second is to request a retirement visa. With the right papers, you can request it here within the tourist period.

Once, you request a retirement visa and if you need to go abroad, you have to request permission not longer than 30 days.

Probably for July some immigration laws (procedures) will change.
