There are an amazing number of single women (more than men, it seems) in Cuenca.

Was just wanting to know if single expats as opposed to all couples. Couples tend to be around other couples, where singles hang out among singles. Not looking for a date here just trying to see the landscape. Anyway thanks for your info.

Heres a place to start. It seems to me, as Edd said, that there seems to be a large number of women that travel to Ecuador alone. Don't know what that says, perhaps they are more adventurous than we males? ( perhaps they just want to get away from us ? )
I will be making the trip as a single also, and I understand your thinking of couples hanging together, and singles??? Well, I suppose singles bars? Sounds kinda sad and pathetic at my age.
I think you'll find groups like the link I gave you, and a miriad of other groups I've seen might fit the bill. ( like the fly fishing group, or photo groups, etc. )
Don't give up, we might be old, and alone.... but there is always hope! ( no, I don't have Hope's number LOL )
