Yurts in Ecuador

I have only seen a couple of posts regarding yurts being used in commercial vacation rental settings.  Is there a reason yurts aren't being utilized as housing in some of the more rural settings?  Thank you!

Hi,
I have wondered if they would do well or be too warm down there.
Seems a great way to get a lot of living space with 2 or 3 of them for a reasonable cost. But they may not last long enough to make it a real savings. I found a company that has 30' yurts for about $10K.
I've been in the original ones and looked at the modern types. I like the Modern ones for the windows and doors, Water catch system and all. You might be on to something there. If nothing else a second place like mountain and beach. Just a little harder to keep someone out when your not there.
Let me know how it works out for you. I may try that too down the road.

Paul.
