Hello everyone,

@radjul7mugisha, stumpy is right. You should definitely read the Living in Ecuador guide for expats

but keep in mind that we do not offer services such as writing invitation letters.

All the best,

Is an invitation letter necessary?

There are almost 200 countries worldwide

and, with a few exceptions, they do not require

an invitation to visit Ecuador.

I do not recall the two African countries the OP

mentioned as being on the list of those few

countries whose citizens are required to adhere

to special rules to visit Ecuador.  Most obtain

a 90-day ink-stamp in their passport, free of

charge at an Ecuadorian airport or border

crossing based on a valid passport.

Naturally, a prospective visitor coming from

so far away should consult the relevant

Ecuadorian embassy -- or at least consult

an Ecuador-based immigration attorney or

visa specialist -- before making travel

arrangements.  Most of us at Expat.com

are laypersons whose advice or invitation

should not be substituted for competent

legal or immigration advice.
