The Goiana Accident

Today I started watching one of these Netflix mini-series, it’s called Emergência Radioativa. It’s about the so-called Goiana Accident from 1987 (in Brazil…), and I was a little surprised that I had never heard about it, because it was a really big deal. Then again, we in the ‘First World’ tend to ignore almost anything that happens in Africa, S. America and South-East Asia, so it’s not too surprising.

I’m not gonna spoil it for those that are as ignorant as I am, but I recommend to either watch to series or read what happened.
