South African tax emigration

Hi everyone,


Does anyone here have any personal experience with financial emigration from South Africa?


Do I need the services of a tax consultant here, or do I just go and see Receita Federal in my area?


I'm living in Florianópolis, so a local tax consultant would be great if someone could recommend one please?


SARS are so full of BS it is unbelievable. I'm just a retiree with no company, trusts, shares etc. only a pension and some savings, but SARS put up every imaginable roadblock to me being able to transfer my money to Brasil.
