Multiple entry stamp

GuestPoster08013

Hi!!

I am Australian and am currently in Brazil visiting my partners family for Christmas.

As we arrived in December I received my 90 day stamp visa on arrival, however we are going to Peru for January and returning in February which is after the evisas begin for Australians.

I have tried to apply for an evisa but have not heard anything back, is this because I already have a 90 day access attached to my passport?

Can I return in February with the 90 days stamp I already have and don’t need an evisa because I entered the country before the requirement?

Online is says if you arrived before January 10th you are exempt, however I just want to be sure that also means for returning into the country as well, and that my 90 day stamp is for multiple entry.

Thank you!

As I already mentioned in the other thread, the tourist visa is granted for up to 90 days, not for the full 90 days. If you leave Brazil it will cease, but you will be granted a new one (providing you have not exceeded the 12 month limit) on your return. If this is after 10th January, as you state, then it must be the new evisa, unless the deadline is extended again...

@Peter Itamaraca Awesome thank you, i understand better now. I didnt know the visa ceased once you left the country so thats good to know :) perhaps the holiday period everything is just taking longer to process as well :)
