New legislation on taxes abroad

This looks to me like Lula just adding back with a slight modification the portion related to individual foreign taxes that was vetoed or removed from MP 1.171/2023.Just my personal opinion but I don't see this passing congress because I would have to imagine there are many in congress that benefit from the closed end fund rules and/or have offshore income.

I'll be unaffected if it flies thru the government. I'm moving back next year anyhow.


Everyone in  Brasil who can, has money outside the country. You should always do this, regardless of where you live today FWIW.

09/03/23  I saw it, but I'll wait to see what, if anything, my accountant has to say about it next April when she's doing my taxes.
