Work Visa in Brazil

WorriedAmerican

Hello,

I am American and I am applying for a work visa in Brazil. I received my FBI background check and it lists my Failure To Appear (for a traffic ticket) this is considered a misdemeanor in the US. Will this stop my from getting my work visa approved? I am very worried. The work visa requires a (No) criminal background check.

Good morning.  That should not be disqualifying. You may be asked for an explanation.  If you later paid the fine, cleared the charge, and have proof of that, be prepared to provide the proof if asked, but even if not, it probably won't result in a rejection.
