Bringing my dog to png

Hi to all, i am Piero from Italy and if thing go the right way will soon be mooving to PNG with my wife. We also have a dog that we whould like to bring with us. What do you think ? Maybe its too hot, vets? Pet food ? Thanks to everyone.

HI Pieroban.

I"m looking at bringing my dog to Port Moresby. We are also looking at bringing our dog (3 year old labrador retriever). From the research I've done, the PNG RSPCA (http://www.rspca.org.pg) has vets and they also have a boarding facility.

With pet food we will be bringing our own as we get a shipping container.

The import process for dogs is quite difficult. I believe you can only import dogs into PNG direct from certain countries (Australia, NZ..and i can't remember the others).

Hi Dpeters! I know this was from awhile ago, but were you able to get your dog into PNG safetly? I would be interested to see what that experience was life for you. Thanks!
