Where to live: Nelson VS Tauranga

I´m planning to move to NZ next August but I still don´t know which city to choose to live (and find a job).
I was thinking in Nelson and in Tauranga (since the cost of living is higher in the bigger cities). Which one do you think it could be the best option for a start?

Try Tauranga, there a more opportunities there and you are more central to other cities such as auckland and Hamilton. If you choose Nelson you will be very isolated and far away from other important cities. (Very cold in Nelson too)
