Possibility of remote marriage ceremony

I don't believe it is at all possible under any current state(s) law.  Especially in cases of international relationships, it creates the suspicion of "marriage of convenience" and that would be a big red flag to possible immigration for either spouse.

The embassy/consulate is useless in such a situation, as they do not handle matters of marriage.  Each state has its own laws regarding marriage, the laws are not at the federal (national) level.

@harryveyre,  I have an update for you.  Take a look at Utah (specifically Utah county)...they may be able to do it.  My comment about immigration still stands though.  I think a remote marriage like this will raise strong questions that you'll need to have really good answers to in order to satisfy the immigration authorities later.

I strongly would recommend finding a way to travel to your fiance to a common location and get married in person, ideally with some family members to witness the event.
