Possible move to ajman

patsca

Good morning everyone, I’m considering a possible job opportunity in the UAE and I’m trying to understand the real cost of living and quality of life in the Ajman/Sharjah area.

In your opinion, what kind of lifestyle would an all-inclusive package of around AED 11,000 per month allow for one adult with one child, considering that housing is not included, but there is an education allowance for the child and medical insurance is provided?

Would it be realistically sustainable when factoring in rent, daily expenses, transport, school-related costs, extracurricular activities, occasional outings, and the possibility of supporting family expenses back home? Or would it still be very tight?

I would also appreciate honest feedback on the quality of life in Ajman/Sharjah: housing standards, safety, social life, expat community, commuting, and whether it feels like a good place to live long-term or mainly a practical/budget option.

I would really appreciate concrete, realistic feedback from people with direct experience.

Thank you very much.
