Retirement in UAE could be very rewarding due to the following factors.
1. It is one of the safest countries in the Middle East
2. It’s has both long term and short term permanent visa scheme.
3. Expert can now own their purchased apartments or villas or its equivalent.
4. It has a very friendly living environment.
5. Low crime rate.
6. Good medical and social infrastructure
7. Not too conservative like other Middle Eastern countries
8. Good road network connecting major cities.

Best places to live....
1. Abu Dhabi
2. Dubai
3. Sharjah and Ajman are both equally ok
4. the rest of the cities like Fujairah and Raskhaima are more or less a country side, but very homely and peaceful.

In addition, UAE is quite an expensive place, but if you have the source of regular income, you will be ok.
Also you need a local sponsor in most cases.

Dubai has one of the best entertainment hubs around it’s metropolitan areas and the nights is always busy with various outdoor and indoor activities. Although that depends on the season.

The winter remains the best time for most outdoor activities, while summer is obviously super hot...but most of the houses and transportation are fully equipped with air conditioning.

And many more...
I’m not sure I have been able to answer all your queries.

Warmest regards,
