Expat.com market share

I have used expat.com for many, many years, some countries have active contributors (and I think for Turkiye I am one of them (also for Hungary). I have asked co-pilot over the best expat websites for Turkey (and Bulgaria (Burgas)), (we might move there if we are refused the Ikamet for whatever reason).

This is also for the moderator, by AI it is advised for Turkey to use turkishliving.com and admittedly it is much more comprehensive than expat.com, on the Turkish forum from expats there are not too many active contributors (some, but..). I am now registered there under the same handle. For Bulgaria however expat is advised, much more active (I do not know why, but also true).

MODERATOR can you please comment. For the other members, what is your view?

Hello cdw057,

Thank you for sharing your insights! It makes sense that Expat.com was recommended for Bulgaria, since many members there regularly share advice and experiences. That is probably also why it was not recommended for Türkiye, where the community is smaller.

Cheers,

I'm perplexed as well why there is not more posts on this site for Türkiye.  I find any threads I start disappear into a black hole.  Maybe expats in Türkiye are having too much of a good time to be sitting behind their computer posting comments.
