women can work in health care/ education .. and in offices as well.. but i guess they prefer locals in offices. unless it s secretarial or administrative job

for the visa
1) you need to submit a valid marriage certificate, translated into arabic.. attested by the saudi consulate/embassy in your country .. and submit that to the Local Office in Saudi . other documents required will be your husband's bachelors degree ( again translated and attested by the local saudi mission ) , a salary and no objection certificate from the employer, and most importantly .. you husband;s profession on the iqama must be eligalbe for family visa..

Once you have these docs.. deposit the fee, submit the application ...the visa is issued same time.. which you then have to submit to the local saudi mission in your country after one week for stamping. ( medical test from their authorized center is required ) and the stamping duration generally depends on the local staff capability and the load. under normal circumstances.. it is a same day activity.

Hello sanatasneem,

Your post has been introduced as a new topic on Riyadh forum. (you were off-topic on the previous discussion).

Hi Santasneem, women can work in any field. 20% of companies need to have saudi workers any gender. Your wife should look for work in Saudi specific for the field she is in now or for her tertiary education for which she has studied. Jobs are found on line or through a recruiting agent in your home town.

@Sparrow .. i think this IS the wife you are talking about :P

actually as per the employee registration .. a Saudi Woman counts equivalent to Two Saudi Guys in the labor office registration . Hence companies prefer hiring local woman to satisfy the saudization quota requirement. As hospitals and private educational institutions are exempt from this policy, hence it is comaparitively easier to find a vacancy there.
