First of all, "Don't take any medication".

Remember how you felt when you were a kid, really healthy and energetic? Follow my suggestion and you will reclaim your life. If anyone said you will lose muscle, science studies show, you won't.... Not doing this for up to 40 days.

If you or anyone wants to loose weight quickly, yet flood your body with antioxidants, vit/minerals then go on a 30-40day fruit and vegetable juice fast.

Benefits:
Remove toxins, cysts, tumors and fat from body
Skin GLOWS
Hair is silky
Have incrediable energy
You will look up to 10-15 years younger

The first 2-4 days will be difficult. You will taste metallic in your mouth - don't worry that is toxins. You may vomit the toxins out, have headaches. This will pass. On day 4 your will wake up feeling AMAZING.

You must not smoke - the only thing to pass your lips is fruit and vege juice that you make -NOT from a supermarket. If you find it really tough, have a cup of hot green tea (organic).


When you break the fast start the first 1-3 days  with a juice in the morning (watermelon), have a smoothie at lunch time (4 bananas, 4 dates, fresh coconut meat and it's juice, soya milk and crushed ice). Dinner have a big salad (NO DRESSING - USE LEMON JUICE) with avacado (lemon juice squeezed over it with cracked pepper. DON'T INTRODUCE ANY ANIMAL PRODUCTS YET.

3-5 days eating raw fruits, 4 dates, and vegetables...6th day small amount of yogurt with fruits and salads. Then slowly introduce (if you wish) grilled fish but the bulk of your food is raw. The amount of rice that can fit into the palm of your hand is your portion for your body..


Walk for an hour every day and use dumbbells. If you have a skipping rope this is great. But use this after the end of your first week of fasting.


Go to the internet for combination juices:

First week one the important juices are:
beets with lemon, ginger and mint ( your urine will go red/pink) so don't panic as it is not blood.

Morning tea: Carrots,lemon,apples,mint

Lunch: Watermelon (2 glasses)

Afternoon tea: berries and pomnergrates

Dinner: 5 different greens, chilli,celery

Supper: Apples, mint and crushed ice

DRINK 2 LITRES OF WATER EVERY DAY - VITAL

Then once a month do this for 3 days. You will remain healthy.

This is the easiet way to loose weight. Only the first 3 days are hard and it is smooth sailing after this. Why? Cause you wake up on the 4th day feeling so alive and it is an additive feeling.You start to glow inside and out. How easy is that!

One of my colleagues lost 12kg in 8 weeks following the below 'Fruit & Veg Fasting' menu.

Plan out your meals beforehand to help you complete your fast. For breakfast, try preparing a fruit or green vegetable smoothie with a few cups of fresh fruit or vegetables, ice and water. Snack on fresh fruits like apples, oranges, pears or grapefruits in between meals. For lunch and/or dinner, prepare a fresh green salad with chopped celery, a half a slice of avocado, fresh mandarin oranges, cranberries, tomatoes, red or green bell peppers, and any of your favorite vegetables. Enjoy a banana for dessert.


Celery, pineapple and grape fruit are very good fat burners. Green tea is good if taken without sugar.

You ARE what and how you eat... Takes work and dedication to shape and sculpt your body, and not some magic pill. Be realistic and set goals, in wont happen in one day, week, month, maybe not even one year, but it will happen if you dedicate yourself. The hard part is starting, after that its a breeze.

Plus its no where near as satisfying if you lose weight that way. A few exercises go a loooong way!

I totally agree with you and this is the correct way. However to begin with, one should flush the body of toxins with a vege and fruit fast. This removes the toxicity in the body and restores the pH balance, reducing inflammation which is the underline cause of many diseases. Any other doctors on this thread will back me in what I say. Do your own research and try it yourself.

Once you have restored your pH balance through a fruit and vege fast, then move on to what you recommended. Excellent advice you have given about portions. NOTE: It is important to drink a minimum of 2-3L of water a day.

Well, that's about juice programs. The fresh juices available here in KSA are over-loaded of sugar. No brainer, their regualr usage can only *add* to the problems rather than any cut-down :)

Buy yourself a juicer and do it yourself. Place up to 6 vege and fruit into juicer.

That was my advice before..not to buy juice from a supermarket.

There's no long story behind my query. A fast metabolism burns calories much faster and doesn't deposit/assimilate nutrients as much or as good as a slow/normal metabolism. I was just curious to read your insight given your prof background. Not looking for a thorough answer as I'm aware that's impossible to provide. :)

Sorry Lady, I was asking for people having acidity issues but not for me. As I feel cutting down on food drastically for people having acidity issues will backfire on them.

I'm with Bruckner - that every one has different metabolism.

Not necessarily. It won't backfire, if you are prepared to manage food in-take on a long term basis. It is about reeducating oneself.

A lot of the food in Saudi (which is delicious), is spicy. This is a major cause of acidity, as is too much stress and disruptive sleep patterns.  Also genetic makeup can contribute.
YOU MUST NOT INHALE ANY FORM OF SUBSTANCE, LIKE TOBACCO OR SHISHA.

If one does want to rid acidity forever, cleanse the body first.
You need to start from the source...cleanse the blood and restore the pH balance. Doctors won't tell you this as they are busy prescribing medicine (doctors have a deal with pharmaceutical companies and share profits, that is why they push medicine).

Start with a 20 day fast (look at my early post of recommended juices). Keep a journal and record any acidity and what veges and fruits you are juicing. The first few days, one will feel awful.   Juice fresh ginger, carrot and lemon, week two of the fast. Juice everything at home and not buy ANY PROCESSED juice.

When you finish the fast don't introduce any coffee for at least 10 days. In fact try to eliminate it altogether and drink green tea or rosemary (fresh) tea. Do not, under any circumstances,  eat any animal products for the first 5 days after breaking the fast. Slowly introduce spices back into the diet. If you have acidity when returning back to the spices, then you know your body is telling you it hurts with consuming that spice. So eliminate it, forever. Eat a lot of raw foods, like banana, dates, cucumber, salads, fruits - even lemons.

Establish a good sleep pattern, at least 8 hours per night. As with stress, take up yoga. When you become tense feel your breath and breathe the problem through.

2 days before  you start your fast eliminate all meat. Next, ask Allah for strength and guidance. Call on him every day whilst fasting for giving you the strength to fix your problem. Go for it...you can do it. Let me know your outcome.

If you are talking about the link in regards to juicing, when you see your doctor get her/him to weigh you and have a standard blood, urine test, obs (BP,temp,pulse,resp). When you have finished the fast go back to the doctor and repeat the tests.

i have some crazy experiences ;) start bedminton,take vegetable soup and fruits not banana and run run and run ...start work out for atleast 3 hr in a day...... this is shortest way.i know its  not healthy but i do so and reduces :)
