GP

Hi

How do I register with a GP in Saudi ? Is the Saudi system like the UK one where you have to register according to your address, or the French system where you can choose who you like ?

Thanks in advance

Michael

French system. Choose whom you like.

Chose where you like but based on your insurance from the company you are working for, they should give you a list to work from.

Just check if the doctor claims or if you pay and claim. Differs with insurance companies.

I have Class A as well through SANAD I have to pay a max of 20% or 100SAR whichever is the least.
Check out travel insurance for travelling outside Saudi on holiday because unless someone can tell me any different travel insurance here appears to be expensive and you would not necessarily want to be repatriated back to Saudi if you were injured whilst on holiday in South Africa for example.
Being outside of the EU means cover is hard to get as well.
I used a company in the UK when I was in Thailand that provided cover for about £200 a year. My company in the UK is covering this for me at the moment so haven't looked into it at the moment.
