Thanks Ali.missed this part.3400+350 for each yr of experience+100% increase from basic salary.
To be honest, I don't understand the part 50% clinical allowance and national passport.does that mean on top of the basic salary?
SR 3400 sounds low salary for a lecturer, compared to what others are getting..thro readin in the blog.
Anyone she'd some light pls?
Thanks in advance.

I think the 350 for each year of experience and the 100% increase from basic are quite important things!

So what is the actual salary to be paid?

AsAli said it depends on where your from, what your living standards are like, what are your expenditures etc?

Also if your daughter is 4 be sure to get education allowance for when she starts school.

Thank u Adam.
Am confused as what the actual salary will be, to be honest.
Am thinking 3400+[4 times 350) coz he's hot 4years experience+4800 making it a total of 9600 SR.is this right?
Was told on a phone call will be earning 18,500 plus annually 18,000 for housing.
We are from Uk, living comfortably, no much saving after tax.
Wondering if will be able to save more in qassim and also build a basis for future job chances in the Arab world.
Also would love my daughter to learn arabic n quran as we are a muslim family alhamdulillah.
Thank u all.

Hi,

If what you said is tru then yes the calculation (3400+1400)*2 would make 9600.  (obviously that is very different to the 3,400 you originally mentioned. lol

Personally for a family of three from the UK 9,600 still isnt really enough tbh. I would say that if the offer is per the phone call and the salary is 18,500 then yes that will mean that you will be able to cover all of your expenses and have some savings (I know how difficult it is to save in the UK).

I dont know the area so cant really help with the rent but i know in Jeddah that wouldnt be nearly enough. I heard Riyadh is a lot cheaper and you should be able to get a decent apartment for 20k.

I dont think that KSA or the Middle East in general is a place to build a career but in terms of savings and living environment it is very good.

There are many Quran schools (evening madrassa similar to the uk)for your daughter all over KSA so that shouldnt be a problem. But generally schools is one of the biggest complaints from all expats (along with driving!).

Someone may correct me but im guessing 50% clinical allowance means they will contribute 50% towards medical bills (which isnt really that good), if anything was to happen. May Allah protect you from such.

As previously mentioned depending on how long you think your husband may work for and when your daughter may start school you must get some education allowance too.

I hope that helps.

u can start but u cant save more here in this package and the life style for UK people is not gud u get bore and if u will try to go for outing it will cost.

I think more most of the companies shows lot of facilities but once u reach here u will find company is not paying most of the facilities so make it sure 1st.
