What is the best way to send money back home from Saudi? Do I just send it through the mail or through bank?

And dude's whichever service provider u use. Don't remit money ever on Global weekends - thts Saturday & Sunday. As Global markets are closed and you get the worst rate of the week as all financial houses keep there margin very high for any unforseen currency fluctuations.

And to answer ur question on charge, its SAR 15-16 per remittance typically.
