Julien

Hi all,

Newbie on the Saudi Arabia forum? Don't know how to start?

This thread is for you ;)

We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in Saudi Arabia if you are planning to move there.

It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.

Welcome on board!

Hello everyone,

My name is Ashar Khan. I am based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and working in business development and services sector. I have experience in printing, design, hotel supplies, and industrial support services. I’m here to connect with professionals, explore new opportunities, and share experiences with the expat community.

Looking forward to networking with you all.

Hi everyone 👋 excited to join this community!

I’m an Australian-qualified counsellor specialising in women’s mental health, with a particular focus on motherhood and the perinatal period. I support women through the real, often unspoken challenges of becoming and being a mother, identity shifts, emotional overwhelm, mental load, and navigating this stage of life far from familiar support systems.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a lawyer in international and high-pressure environments. Over time, I felt drawn to supporting women in a more direct and human way, and retrained as a counsellor as a continuation of that path.

I’ve lived and worked across France, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, and these experiences deeply shape how I see the world. I’m especially interested in questions of identity, belonging, and what it means to build a life, and raise children, between cultures.

I’m currently exploring how I might support women and families connected to Saudi Arabia, and I’d really value hearing from those living here (especially mothers) about your experiences.

And if anything I’ve shared resonates with you, feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to connect.

Looking forward to getting to know you all 😊
