YouTube expat

Hi01918

Hi! Can an expat monetize their YouTube channel and receive payments from YouTube (Google AdSense) to a bank in Saudi Arabia, like Al Rajhi Bank or STC Bank? Does an expat need any specific license to earn money from YouTube if they are already working a full-time job and YouTube is a side hustle? Because the channel is of the child but bank account of father so Please share your experiences. Thanks!

@Hi01918 Yes, it’s possible to monetize a YouTube channel as an expat in Saudi Arabia, but there are a few things you should be aware of. Google AdSense doesn’t currently send payments directly to Saudi bank accounts like Al Rajhi or STC Bank, so most people there use alternatives like Payoneer or STC Pay to receive their funds.

That said, if you’re on a dependent visa or your child is, technically you’re not allowed to earn income without the proper work permit or license. Some people still receive small, irregular payments without any issues, but if the income becomes regular or large, it can attract attention from the authorities or the bank.
