Rejected Resignation

Hi, good day.


I need information based on whoever had and have been experiencing the situation as mine.


My employment situation:

  1. I have finished 2 year contract with them (April 2022-April 2024)
  2. I told the employer to extend me for only 1 year.
  3. The employer renewed me another 2 years contract (April 2024 - April 2026)


My employer rejected my resignation last week. I gave the employer 3 months notice so they/ I can find a replacement for my position. They said that they cannot guarantee if I can go after 3 months, but if so, I HAVE TO PAY the remaining months of my contract. And even if I can find someone who can replace me, they told me that I still have to pay them. I really want to quit.


May I know someone who experience the same situation what did you do to resolve this?
