Bank Al-Rajhi blocked my account for no reason.

Hello everyone. I have a salary account in other bank and I opened Al Rajhi bank account online for online puchases from Noon or Amazon KSA. Usually I would transfer 1000 or 2000 to Rajhi every now and then.

Some time in last month while I was on vacation my Bank Al-Rajhi account got blocked. When I got back to KSA I went to the bank branch and they asked me for different documents which I submitted and they considered it as a FRAUD CASE. I asked the manager how come it's a fraud when I transfered amount from my salary account to Rajhi bank account and I showed them bank statements as well but they refused to even look at it.

Before yesterday I received SMS from bank stating that the "Fraud Case" has been completed and account has been unblocked but when I checked it's still blocked. I called their helpline, they had no clue about it why isn't my account unblocked.

Today it's been almost a month and I have been going back and fourth to the bank but still no response. Branch asks me to call helpline and helpline asks me to visit the branch.

Did anyone else face the same problem? Please let me know.

They blocked it because of suspicious activity. As the account is only used for online transactions. There is nothing you can do except keep following it up with the bank. And yes, it happens to many people.

@XTang Would it be a good idea to complain Bank Al Rajhi on SAMA's portal?

The bank manager suggested that I do this. I'm just wondering if it could fire back on me.

You can always complain. Difficult to say what will happen.

Provide your employment details to bank and fill a form after visiting any branch. You need original passport, iqama and Saudi SPL Address. After this your account will be Ok

I received a sms from bank please update your information ? avoid freezing your account I don't know which information information is missing? My Iqama is renew before 2 months of expiry and I don't update in bank account but after receive this sms I updated and again I received same sms after 15 days? Which type of information is need please advise

My account has been blocked by attempting due to invalid pin attempts but the point is my account has already blocked befor giving pin and my account pin was correct who will i unblock my account
