Retirement age in KSA

Dato Shamshul

Please advise the age of retirement for an expat working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Earlier it as 60 and later if I am not mistaken is 65. Appreciate if anybody could confirm it. Thanks

As far as I know, the retirement age is 60 for men. For women, it used to be 55 and then was changed to 60 in 2019.  This applies to all, whether expats or Saudis.

@XTang Thanks brother

SA Expat2

Is that with Saudi companies or private companies?

Irrespective of company type - this is labor law which applies to all.  Company can keep you after retirement age but it costs them more, requires approval and is a negative impact on Saudization (you are counted as 2 expats instead of 1 post retirement age).

@XTang Salam brother! I hope you don't mind me to ask.i filed a case to my employer due to the violation of contract and some ARTICLES to SLL .My hearing to moj video call is coming. I filed a case through Philippines overseas labour office but since there's lot of complainants the case will take time unless the plaintiffs has a local lawyer so I don't know if you have idea about hiring attorney/lawyer and how much does it worth this kind of  case. I I'm looking forward to your reply sir. Thank you

I don't have recent experience with lawyer costs.  I suggest to contact some lawyers and get an idea of average costs that way.
