. PM's are being sent like "hi, hello, how are you?, hello dear, here is my number call me if you're interested in me, etc etc"....and since when I become your dear 
? To those men in Oman who belong to the above....please, this is not a dating site, stop pestering the ladies.
We are not here to look for boyfriend, we have much much more sensible things to do than what you are thinking. Please focus your attention to anything valuable that you can contribute to the expat community. But if your "need for what you call friendship" is that intense, please go to the dating sites not in expat-blog.

I can understand your frustration but what can you do if all those desperate souls who are living in a platonic surroundings believe that they can hook with a girl once they take the initiative and through their contact details. Unfortunately you cannot put an end to the problem, all we can do is to Report what we see inconvenient and help keep the community clean of those who are disrespectful to themselves and to their communities.
To those people I would say: if you have got extra time in your life; try to get a life, and find something interesting to do; make yourself busy with any constructive activities, something that will really benefit you and make you a better human being; and believe me its not about how rich or handsome you are; its all about what do you do in life to make your days count and meaningful rather than meaningless.

No matter how hard we try, there are some who join the blog who simply will not follow the rules. These are the individuals for whom banning is the only option, and believe me they do get banned and banned quickly.
Ladies, please we do depend on your reports in order for this to happen in a prompt manner. While the topic postings on our open forums are just that "public" and will eventually be seen by moderators, this may take time. Clicking the REPORT triangle at the top of each posting will send an alert to Team and speed this up significantly.
When abuses take place in the Private Message System it is absolutely imperative that you report them. Nobody sees your private messages but you and the sender. They are not subject to moderation like the forums, so if you're being harassed and annoyed we don't know about that unless you use the REPORT feature. When you open a message you will see on the "Conversation with" line a button ACTION click on it and then select REPORT. Give a brief description of your problem and click on OK. This will copy the message to Team and immediate action will be taken.
To all the men out there who think that it is quite acceptable to be sending these unsolicited and annoying messages to female members, be warned YOUR DAYS HERE ARE NUMBERED. This kind of behavior IS NOT tolerated here and you will be banned without any hesitation whatsoever. Don't try and come back with the lame excuse that you didn't know either...... you agreed when you registered to follow Expat-blog's rules. If you didn't read them, that's your problem.

| However, ladies and gentlemen, I cannot but agree. "Love affairs" can harm the very meaning of the site. I believe there are more appropriate sites for that. Chatroulettes or dating sites - (mymagicbrides.com/) or whatever. Why annoying other people?

Nine out of ten women (or maybe ten out of ten) don't want to be bothered with unsolicited pm from totally strangers looking for "culture or language exchange", love or one night stand. What the hell men thinking? They don't even take the time to check the profile of their "choices" and their avatar says nothing about them.
Leave us women alone!!! If we want friendship, we go out !!!
