So I am here in Sohar & looking to connect with anyone from our side of the world, Ireland, UK, Wales etc.. Basically anyone who has a good grasp of English & is perhaps as bored as I am here . I find the transition from having so much to do at home to having less options here & no family/friends very isolating. We are only here now until September but would love to have a conversation with someone as presently I only have my tired hubby when he returns after his long shifts & family on Video Calls back home! I have done the malls & wander around like a bit of a lost soul tbh. Im definitely like a fish out of water & Sunbathing Studying & Shopping have now lost their charm after 5 wks . We have travelled around Oman in previous months when time off work allowed us as we are explorers by nature, but I do find Sohar extremely quiet and incredibly lonely & the long days can be hard to fill . I use tripadvisor to get recommendations on dining & places to visit, etc but find theres not much on there about this place.
