Selected for Ministry of Manpower- Visa delayed for long

It's Vishnu from Chennai.

I got selected for Technical Colleges in Oman through BCT in an interview held in July, 2018 in Chennai. In a week post selection, I received a confirmation email and asked me to send all the document copies which I submitted without delay.

Even after three months of wait there has been no proceeding from the Ministry. Further questioned on the date of joining or place, BCT said they are awaiting Ministry's approval. I dont know how long will this go on.

Almost 15 candidates, who got selected thru various agencies are waiting like me and we are in a whatsapp group. Each one is disappointed because of the delay.

If someone offers any pertaining info that would be of great help

Dear Sir
The appointment is based on vacancies only. One more thing here the vacancies are already filled and the first semester is going to end on coming December. The companies select more candidates than their needs. Out of selection, the vacancies are filled by the ministry as per specializations required. I knew some candidates who got selected before 1.5 yrs and still waiting for their visa.

Thanks a lot for your time and reply. Will consider to move on. Do you know anyone who was selected and got visa? If so, how long did they wait for the visa?
