Health Insurance Options in Bahrain

Hi,

I am looking at health insurance for my family that will cover Bahrain and India. We are planning to be in Bahrain for next 10 years thus would like to choose a firm that will give good service and I can continue with them for long term.

So far I have reached out to GIG Gulf, Solidarity and SNIC. I have reached them directly either through their website or calling them.

Will appreciate your response on the following,

1. Are there any other insurance firms that can give me health insurance that will cover Bahrain and India

2. Is it better to go directly to these companies or can insurance brokers get me a better deal.

Depends on your budget really. There are international providers which have better service and coverage but are much more expensive e.g. CIGNA, AETNA etc. Brokers can save you effort but you need to ensure they give you all possible options as they are, at times, focused on pushing their preferred option only.
