Address card

Britishinbh

Good day, I have signed a contract for a shop in Bahrain on my cr. However I have been trying to sort out municipality on the cr name and have been struggling to do so as I need an address card. I was told by the lawyer that the landlord should provide this. I have been getting ignored and now 2 weeks into my contract with no electricity in the shop. I have paid for 3 months rent in advanced and a deposit. What are my options?

Do you have a lease agreement?   if so, apply for a municipality letter online to register it.

They won't allow me to apply for a municipality unless I have an address card.

Oh also I forgot to add they gave me a fake address on the tenancy agreement. And for ages when I tried to update the cr address it wouldn't allow me online because it kept saying it's an invalid address. I had to do some deep investigation and eventually I looked into the old cr that was registered to the same shop and I checked on the system the shops next door to my shop. I got the accurate address and then I contacted the agents who leased the shop to me and they tried to make it out like I'm wrong. I wasn't having it and I kept saying it is wrong and I know I'm right. Eventually they said it was the address I stated. Then I had to demand a new agreement with the correct address, and also new invoices for the money paid already which by the way they still haven't provided and it's been 5 days now.

@XTang

I realise I wrote a new post instead of replying to yours. It's the first time I've ever posted on here. Sorry
