Work permit processing times after June01 rules change

Hi All.

Creating this thread to hear from people who have applied for work permit after June01 and the processing times after the work permit rule change.

Status of my application:

I submitted the application on 31st May, but decision hasn't been made yet.

Not able to reach call centre either at any time of the day.

I have not received decision yet. But case officer has put a query on my case demanding for an employment contract(28July)

My employer has submitted the same proactively.

how much time does the case officer takes to go back and relook on cases where additional information has been asked? Any idea?

@sjbbt no,i wasn't asked for any additional document. I dont even know is case officer assigned or not.

Yes have been waiting since i applied 31st of may

I have been waiting since 5th July hoping i will get an answer in 4-5 weeks. But still waiting.

Job contract is issued by your new employer. They will initiate the visa process

There was some delay because my case officer again went on 2 weeks of vacation.

Did anyone receive any updates on their case?

My company applied on May 15th, and still no answer from MV. Initially, they said 5-6 weeks. That estimate has been long gone by now, and now I am 11.5 weeks since I first applied. The fast track company updated their estimate to say 10-12 weeks, but from the looks of it, it seems that it may take a bit longer than that.

I'll post here once I receive an update.

Yes. 31st may

Case officer requested for additional info on 28th july, post which he went on vacation for 2 weeks.

Got decision on 18th august
