Question about LGBTQ immigration

Hello555

Hi,
I’m a Hungarian citizen planning on moving to Stockholm. I’m gay and my partner isn’t an EU citizen.
In Hungary gay marriage and most LGBTQ rights basically do not exist. Is there a way for my partner to get a permanent visa and join me in Sweden? If so, I would kindly ask for a referral/ explanation on how that works and what should we do.

Thank you very much :) I

Where is your partner from? If you get married then they would be able to move to Sweden with you based on EU freedom of movement laws. I am married to a Hungarian and we have been talking about moving to Sweden as well, so I’ve been looking into it.
