New members of the Sweden forum, introduce yourselves here - 2023

I am not new to Sweden though never lived there. My business career introduced me to the Swedish life through the employment that I got with a Stockholm based Company which in the 70s started Sportswear clothing manufacvturing in Malta.

Through the 70s and 80s, I travelled often to different parts of south Sweden interacting with fellow Swedish colleagues.

With great regret, I lost contact with most of these colleagues.

@Isioma Ossai The time of waiting for a decision from the sweden migration varied, is just yours partner i Sweden who can push the administration here i sweden. I live in Sweden for almost 17 years so I understand everything about the migration in sweden.

Tell your wife to call them so she can push the process.

I you want more information about that tell me I will tell you about that.

Not yet, on March 30 I have the interview. It took 1 year for them to give me an answer and call me for an interview.

And you? how long have you been waiting? did you already give the interview?

Hello everyone. I am not yet in Sweden but I am interested in moving to Sweden with my family and settle. I am in need of a job in the Hospitality industry and my wife is a qualified Caregiver. So if there is anyone who has information on how we can secure jobs for the purpose of getting a work permit from outside Sweden that would be greatly appreciated. @Julien, I applied to move with my partner (swedish citizen) in oct 2022. I have not gotten a call for the interview yet. Some timelines say 15-17 months before approved. Should I have gotten a call yet for the interview?

My name is Bart Demeestere and I moved to Sweden Umeå from Belgium a year ago. I'm pretty much settled in and managed to learn some Swedish right now. After leaving my architectural firm PM-architecten in Belgium, I worked temporarily for a real estate company and am now in the process of starting up my own business in Sweden. With my new Swedish company Barts Ateljé AB, I will provide building services, consult and crafts.
