Renewing a TIE in Motril (Granada) involves two main steps: renewing the residence authorization (if not long-term) and the physical TIE card renewal (Toma de Huellas) at the Motril National Police Station. Applications must be submitted 60 days before to 90 days after expiration, with appointments booked via administracionespublicas.gob.es.


Required Documents for TIE Renewal (Toma de Huellas):


  1. EX-17 Form: Application form for the TIE.
  2. Passport: Original and a copy of a valid passport.
  3. Old TIE: Original expired or expiring TIE.
  4. Resguardo de Renovación: Proof of favourable residency renewal (if required).
  5. Modelo 790 (Code 012): Proof of paid renewal fee.
  6. Photos: Recent passport-size colour photograph. (less 6 months old)
  7. Padrón Certificate: An updated certificate if you have moved, generally required for proof of address.
