Clearing your belongings through customs in Romania

if you want anything to come into Romania you must have your Residency permit first as you can't import anything without it (European citizens not sure).  Personal Furniture you can bring under your personal name without paying import tax.  For cars, be-careful, especially if they are exotic.  NEVER IMPORT ANY CARS FROM MIDDLE EAST THAT ARE EXOTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ITS BEEN 2 YEARS AND MY CARS STILL DON'T HAVE BLACK NUMBERS.  First they had no facility to do the testing on them (emissions test) so had to go get original certificate from manufacture proving they were Euro 5.  Secondly, leaving UAE they don't give you original title deed (Original ownership document) but they give you original export document which clearly shows ownership.  So in Romania, they are very narrow minded, will not accept copy or even original export documents as a title deed.  So they send it to Interpol and interpol has been sitting on it for a year.  I have red registration plates and can't leave the country with the car until we get black plates.  Its not worth to bring any exotic cars to Romania, the roads suck anyway.  This was biggest mistake ever.  And they happily took my import taxes on cars.
