Lost Wallet between Lisbon and Porto

peterjenkins1

I lost my wallet on a flixbus between Lisbon and Porto last week. The good news is it was found and is at the lost property office of Goon Bus.

I have been trying to arrange a courier company to pick it up and deliver too me with great difficulty.

Is there anyone who would be willing to collect it and post it to me ? I will of course cover any costs and buy you a drink.

Regards

Hi Peter,

1. Courier Service (The fastest solution)

If Goon Bus (which operates services for FlixBus) has confirmed they have the item, the easiest way in Portugal is to use a "recolha e entrega" (pick-up and delivery) service. Try Eurosender, as they are used to handling these types of requests:

How it works: On their website, book a "collection" at the Goon Bus office address and "delivery" to your address.

Pro Tip: You will need to email Goon Bus a signed authorization and a copy of your ID, authorizing the specific courier company to collect the item on your behalf.

2. Deliverback

There is a specialized platform for this exact situation called Deliverback. They work with various transport companies in Portugal and handle all the coordination with lost property offices. It might be slightly more expensive than a standard courier, but it saves you the coordination work.

To successfully arrange a pickup, you will need to know:

  1. Exact Address of Goon Bus Depot: Not just "Porto."
  2. Office Hours: Many depots are not open on weekends.

Note: According to common FlixBus policies, operators often hold items for up to 30 days.

Thanks for the replies.

I have arranged return of the wallet  through Deliver Back.
