Yes, your wife can enter Portugal with you through the EU/EEA citizen entry point at Lisbon Airport. Under EU free movement rules, non-EU family members are legally entitled to accompany their EU spouse and clear border control together.

Yes, legally she can! Under EU Directive 2004/38/EC, non-EU spouses traveling together with an EU citizen are entitled to use the EU/EEA/CH passport control lane.

Here are a few practical tips for Lisbon Airport:

Approach the desk together: Walk up to the border officer at the same time and mention that you are traveling as a married couple (it's helpful to carry a copy of your marriage certificate).

Avoid Automated E-Gates: Your wife will need to see a human border officer so they can check her US passport and process her entry (she cannot use the automated EU e-gates).
