Hi, I’m from Mauritius and I’m looking to find a job and move to Portugal in the cybersecurity field. I’d appreciate any advice on the job market, visa process, and steps to relocate, especially for someone with a background in cybersecurity. If you know of any opportunities or people who can assist with this transition, I’d be grateful for the guidance. Any insights on settling in and living in Portugal, particularly for someone coming from Mauritius, would be really helpful. Thank you!

Welcome. There is no consular representation in Mauritius. You'll have to apply for a visa in Mozambique. You have some support here:

D2 visa can be an option to you. It is a residence visa aiming at entrepreneurs and foreign nationals who wish to establish their professional independent activity in Portugal and/or have been hired as service providers (within the range of liberal professionals) by a service provider or a company in Portugal.

D8 is a digital nomad visa.
