Coverage of SNS

TGCampo

Where would I be able to find a document that describes what is covered by the Portuguese SNS, and what not. Does such a document (or set of documents) exist? Private health insurances are quite specific about what is covered and what not, but I have not seen that for the SNS.

Hmmm. Looks like nobody in the forum has an idea about this question.

If I find it I will send. But there IS such a document that compare the difference between the two.

I have read it.

You must go on the Portuguese government site under health care OR insurance companies who want to show how much more they cover in comparison.

I read it on either site, perhaps both.

Good luck.

Everything life threatening is covered by the SNS.

Dentist and cosmetic surgery aren't.

There is no document. There is the Portuguese law that is pretty extensive.

But if you wait for a surgery on the SNS you may die before getting it done.
