Sslavica: I recommend you contact Oslo Kommune , which is the Oslo City Council - just go to their home page and send them an email

There is a very useful site for foreigners which is www.nav.no

Click on the English flag at the top, and it is information for Foreigners in Norway

I think one of the most convenient ways is to go to the Oslo Voksenopplearing sentre and check if you are eligible for a free course or not? And, then register yourself with them....and they will allot you a course anywhere btw 2 weeks to 2 months time.

The address is
Karoline Kristiansens vei 8, Fyrstikktorget, Helsfyr

Don't forgot to take your ID (& passport).

good luck !!

I can recommend a place called Norsktimen. It's a small private school with two teachers, who are both very good. I did most of my Norwegian study with them, and they helped me to raise my Norwegian level quickly. The website is http://www.norsktimen.no/
