Relocating to Bologna with 3 young kids

Hi,

We are moving to Bologna for 12 months with 3 young children and seeking advice on whether to arrange apartment rental before arriving and pay a relocation specialist to furnish it, or do this after we arrive (and stay in fully furnished accommodation for a couple of months).

What are other people's experiences in terms of costs and headaches?
