It's been a while since I posted anything for various reasons. But here's some photos I'va taken recently:

The 1st is an old Russian narrow guage railway carriage on show at the small railway station in Felsotarkany, the 2nd is a really quaint little weekend house just round the corner from us and the 3rd is the little bugger that's been living in my loft for the last few weeks now if only I could get my hands on it!! lol. Dormice are cute but you don't want one sharing your house.

I had a lucky day on my 6km walk.

We saw a whole bunch of birds, most I got identified, some pics are not great, but at least I got them ;)
Remind me to tell the birds to come closer next time :)

Little Grebe / Zwergtaucher (Tachybaptus ruficollis) (a first)

Great Cormorant / Kormoran (Phalacrocorax carbo) (my first ones for Hungary)

Red backed Shrike / Neuntoeter (Lanius collurio)

Black stork / Schwarzstorch (Ciconia nigra) (first time I got him on the ground and that "close")

Great spotted woodpecker / Buntspecht (Dendrocopus major)

And some unidentified ones (any help welcome)

same bird as above

And the last one

Hello NicoleB,
These photo are looking so natural and beautiful. Really I loving this type of picture. I always prefer to take photographs of such wild animals by staying inside my four wheeler vehicle and take photos through the small windows.

Thanks for sharing.
